Registered Dietitian
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Provides nutritional aspects of patient care, including nutritional assessments, consults and patient/family education, and assures that quality nutritional care is provided.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs nutritional assessments on patients
2. Provides education to patients using materials as appropriate for patient needs
3. Develops plan of care for patients identified as needing specialized nutritional care
4. Consults and patient/family education on modified/therapeutic diets.
5. Monitors appropriateness of diet orders and makes recommendations as necessary
6. Corporate Compliance.
7. Age specific competencies.
MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education:
a. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Experience:
a. One to two years in related field.
3. Other:
a. Current Georgia Dietician License
b. ADA registered
