Transparency in Coverage
The Federal Transparency in Coverage Rule requires health insurers and employer self-insured health plans to post pricing disclosures via machine-readable files (MRFs).
This link below leads to the MRFs that are being made available in response to the Federal Transparency in Coverage Rule. The MRFs include negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans and healthcare providers. While these files are available to the public, they are technical in nature and are formatted to allow researchers, regulators, and application developers to more easily access and analyze data.
